About this neighborhood

During the Samhan period, Muan-myeon was part of the Byeonhan territory belonging to Garak Kingdom. In 1895, the administrative divisions were separated into Idong-myeon and Haseo-myeon, and in 1933, Idong-myeon and Haseo-myeon merged to become Muan-myeon. It is a midland area located approximately 14 km west of Milyang City and is adjacent to the Bugok Hot Spring Resort. Currently, tourism is being promoted along a belt connecting Pyochung Monument (표충비각) → Saam Taesa Historic Site (사명대사유적지) → Seo-ga-jeong Buddhist Retreat Center (서가정불교연수원) → Dae-beop Temple (대법사) → Bugok Hot Spring Resort.
